Dry Cupping Therapy
Dry Cupping Therapy in Gujrat
Dry cupping uses cups to create suction on the skin. It may be considered as an optional addition to physiotherapy for selected muscle-related symptoms. Some people experience temporary relief, although evidence for its effectiveness is limited.

What it involves
We assess your symptoms, skin condition and relevant medical history before recommending cupping. Cups are placed over a suitable area, with suction and duration adjusted to your comfort and skin response.
If used, dry cupping forms part of a wider plan that may include movement, strengthening and advice about everyday activity. We review whether it provides a useful benefit for you.
Good to know
Dry cupping does not involve cutting the skin or drawing blood and is different from wet cupping or hijama. Temporary circular marks and tenderness can occur; skin injury is also possible. The marks do not indicate that toxins have been removed.
When it may be considered
- Selected cases of muscle-related back or shoulder discomfort.
- A feeling of muscular tightness that affects comfortable movement.
- Short-term symptom management alongside active rehabilitation.
